Groups limited to 15 means everyone gets a view. Several places along the route, a short stop guarantees catching fish. Whales, salmon, halibut, bass, puffins and other auklets congregate in the same area to feed. It’s not unusual to have whales circle and see puffins diving while we fish. A great tour for seeing Kenai Fjords’ wildlife & glaciers with a taste of saltwater fishing.
The Snagg’n Wagon
Rent waders, poles, nets, whackers, kayaks, and bikes. We also can vacuum seal your fish right on the beach. Snagg’n Wagon is conveniently located by the waterfront campgrounds behind the baseball feilds. It is right next to the inlet where all the Alaskan salmon come to spawn. River and Shore Fishing:
AdventuresSIXTYNorth offers guided shore fishing trips in Seward. Fish for Sockeye salmon mid-May through July and Coho salmon from mid July through August. Kenai’s Alaska River Adventures has operated guided fishing at Cooper Landing for over 40 years. They are one of the few Alaska river charters and guides that float the entire Upper Kenai River from Kenai Lake to Skilak Lake, including the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge.
