Helpful info for your Resurrection Bay Seward Alaska Stay

We look forward to welcoming you in person to Resurrection Lodge on the Bay in beautiful Seward, Alaska. We’ve compiled frequently asked questions, as well as our policies below. Please review this info, and if you have any questions, reach out, we would love to chat!

Cancellation and Payment Policies:

Cancellations: Resurrection Lodge on the Bay is a small family-owned Lodge and is only open from mid-May through mid-September, so we must have a strict cancellation policy. If you have any questions regarding this policy, don’t hesitate to contact us before booking. All cancellation requests must be in writing. If you give us 61 days or more cancellation notice before arrival, you will receive a 100% refund, less 5% credit card fees. If you cancel 30 to 60 days before arrival, you will receive a 50% refund less 5% credit card fees. If you cancel 29 days before arrival, no refunds are given. Because of the uncertainty of our times, It is highly recommended that you purchase travel Insurance.

Deposits/ Payments:  All reservations will be charged 100% of the total amount due at the time of booking unless other arrangements have been agreed to.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Can I bring extra people? When booking the room it shows the max capacity, Please do not show up with  extra people otherwise you may asked to vacate. Over filling rooms is not allowed.

I don’t have a credit card can I use someone else’s? No, The person making the reservation must be a guest staying here 

Can we bring our pet? Sorry, we do not allow pets in or on any of our properties. That includes leaving them in your auto. If a pet is found on property without prior authorization you will be charged a $100 fee and  asked to vacate immediately.

Can we have a campfire? No, we don’t allow campfires or beach fires. All beaches on lowell point are actually private property except for the beach area at the boat ramp at the end of Beach Dr.

Parking for RV?  unfortunately we have limited parking and don’t have space for over sized vehicles and RV’s

Can we bring our Kayak or ATV? We don’t allow unloading or use of recreational vehicles or any kind of boats on our properties.

What about our luggage if we are arriving to Seward before check in and we have a tour scheduled? We can meet you when you arrive and pick up your luggage and transport it to the lodge and stow it for you. Some tour companies also stow luggage. Our shuttle service operates between 9am and 6pm and only operates to and from the train station, bus or cruise port. Also, please note that check-in is 4 pm, so if getting off the cruise ship earlier, nothing will be open in Seward unless you have scheduled a charter or tour. Please schedule this pick up request 24 to 72 hrs before arrival.

Are there any restaurants near the lodge? The closest restaurants to the Lodge are located in downtown Seward, just 10 minutes away.

Does Seward have a grocery store? Yes, on the north side of town there is a Safeway and  market place grocery store

Do you have quiet hours? Yes, 10pm to 8am, We want you to have a great stay with us  and please enjoy the deck and beach area but please be considerate of the other guests. Keep in mind we are an older wooden facility so noise does travel easily.  Our floors are wood so if your staying on a upper level please walk softly or remove your hard soled shoes while in your room.

What about rain boots? We do have some in various sizes for you to use while  staying with us  for walking the beach , kayaking or fishing. and they are free to use.

Do we need rain gear? We say expect rain and hope for sunshine! You need to come prepared for rain and anything you can buy and bring with you will probably be less expensive than buying gear here.

Do you have you offer a shuttle service? Yes! we can  pick you up from your arrival point and drop you off at your departure and its complimentary. We just need to be notified 1 to 3 days before your arrival to schedule it.Our shuttle service operates between 9 am and 6 pm and only operates to and from the train station, bus, and cruise port. Please note that cruise port luggage pick-up will not start till 9 am. Also, please note that check-in is 4 pm, so if getting off the cruise ship earlier, nothing will be open in Seward unless you have scheduled a charter or tour.

Is there a Taxi Service available? Yes there are several taxi companies in Seward that service the Seward and Lowell point area where the Lodge is located. Normal taxi fees are $20 to $25 per trip and available 24hrs a day. If planning tours, please schedule your taxi pick up well in advance.

Do you have a laundry facility? Yes! We do have a  coin operated washer and dryer for guest use.

Can we store our fish while staying there? Yes! We do have a freezer for guest use. If we don’t have space we can refer you to  a storage facility in Seward.

Is there any problems getting to your lodge? No, however the Lowell point road after much rain can be  a little muddy and bumpy. The city of Seward keeps it graded as much as possible. Hundreds of cars, trucks and RVs use this road everyday  in all conditions so it may just be a slow drive on those days.

Can we fish off the beach? Absolutely! all you need is a fishing license and .poles. Sorry , we do not provide fishing gear.

What time is Breakfast? 7am to 9am  every morning in the dining room. This is a buffet style serving , unfortunately we can not cook to order. 

What do you cook for breakfast? Scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuits and gravy, cereal, toast, bagels, waffles or pancakes, hash browns, pastries, fresh fruits, yogurt, milk, orange juice, coffee, ( some items may be substituted because of availability

Do you have a outside grill to use? We do have a gas grill available for guest use. You are responsible for cleaning it when finished otherwise you will be charged a cleaning fee.

Can we use the Kitchen facility for cooking our food? Sorry No. Our insurance company doesn’t allow it however all of our rooms do have a mini-fridge and microwave. Some rooms do have kitchens  check for availability.

Can we get a early check in or late check out? Check in is 4pm and check out is 10am, because we are family operated lodge it is very difficult to accommodate these requests.
